 Jacket relay teams win State Titles!!
Guys take 400 meter relay, girls grab 3200 meter crown!! The Greer 4-100 meter relay team won the State Championship in Columbia on Saturday. The Relay team is made up of Sinclair Cannon, Tyrone Williams, Allen Mills and Sergio Gilliam. They outlasted Broome with a time of 42.64 seconds to win the title. The Greer guys finished 14th in the team competition.  The Greer girls distance runners, coming off a State Championship this past fall in Cross Country, kept it going themselves, winning the gold medals in the 3200. Julie Baldwin, Miley White, Yunai Jackson, and Maurissa Tower made up the championship relay team with a time of 10:16:84, ahead of second place Greenville by three seconds. They led a strong performance by the girls, who finished fifth in the team competition. Congratulations to these young men and women for a great effort in the State Championships!!!
