Hicks, a three year starter for the Yellow Jackets, leads the team in almost every defensive category. So far on the season he has 98 solo tackles, 11 sacks, 14 TFL, 3 fumble recoveries, 2 interceptions and a touchdown. Waters, a two year offensive starter, has 37 knockdowns, grades out at over 90% and anchors an offensive line that has the top rushing team in the state.

Hannon officially a Paladin now...

Reese Hannon, a three year starter at quarterback, signed his National Letter of Intent to play for the Furman Paladins on Wednesday afternoon at Greer High School. The smiles were abundant throughout as Hannon's father, mother and brother along with several other family members and Greer coaches were in attendance. Reese was a finalist for South Carolina Mr. Football, North-South All-Star Game participant and was also named Greenville County co-Player of the Year after leading the Yellow Jackets to a 9-2 record this season, including an unbeaten conference record.

He will not be the first family member to wear the purple & white, as another former Yellow Jacket great Justin Hill, his cousin also played quarterback at Furman from 1997-2000. We look forward to watching him over the next four years and know he is going to do an outstanding job of representing the Yellow Jackets.

Congratulations to Reese on his tremendous accomplishment!

New conference in 2012...

The Yellow Jackets will move into Region II-3A Conference for 2012-2014. The new conference will provide Greer with mostly Greenville County opponents. Athletic Director Travis Perry discussed the scheduling process "We’ll declare our non-conference games and make up the non-conference schedule by drawing numbers for the teams when we play them. Then home and away will be decided to give each team an equal schedule. The three non-region and seven region games will give us our 10-game regular season schedule". He went on to talk about how this will help with travel costs associated with all sports at the school.
